For the first time I made the whole body resin figures. The mold is very fine Alpine models. Built in March 2015.
I’ll try to make this Alpine figure set. This package sample photo is nice masterpiece, though I can hardly do a same thing, I’ll do my best.
Petty officer figure, the mold is perfect. Head is available from two kinds. Total parts are fewer than injection kit.
This is the officer tank crew. He is holding operation plan or something in is left hand.
Anyway I made one figure. It’s marvelous. The face is handsome with sharp mold. The pistol fits in into the parts of the body without any adjustment.
The other officer figure is like this. I like this natural, relaxed standing pose.
I painted them with oil painting this time, painted big part first of all. Somewhat I hesitate to touch good molded faces. Beige area will be camouflage painting. It seems to be difficult to draw camouflage patterns in a wide area…..
I thought whether the left soldier’s uniform base color was slightly too reddish and repainted it. I have just painted the first color of camouflage of the left soldier.
After trial and error, all camouflage patterns on the way. The German army used many patterns, I imagined the pattern before painting, but for a while, after I worked with other kit and forgot the image…. There are many color mixed patterns, like 3 or 4 colors and small dotted.
I have finished painting of the Alpine tank crew. I painted all with oil painting this time. The camouflage pants are dark yellow, chestnut brown, dark brown 3 colors. The careful work made my eyes sting.
I completed to attach rank insignia decal on his shoulder. I thought the Tamiya Mark Fit (Strong) is weaker than the Creos Mr. Marksofter, same as Creos Mark Setter. It was written as Strong, I expected it’s strong same as Modelers Decal Fit.
Petty officer is wearing camouflage uniform. The jacket is dot pattern and bottom is a general camouflage pattern.
It’s hard to recognize the expression that he put on a cap, I took the photo from under. I couldn’t paint too small spots. I am not yet farsightedness, I should see near place properly, leave something to be desired…..
As it is Ardennes, possibly the right officer is a motif from Colonel Joachim Peiper in command of Peiper Kampfgruppe? They are member of the 1st SS-Panzer-Division (LAH) Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler.
I suppose it’s a nice combination of tank crew in camouflage and German heavy tank!!
There is still room for improvements for the painting of details in various ways. It’s careful work, but the figure painting is pleasant. I want to challenge it continuous to make very desirable result, though it is difficult now.
I received the advice that the figure picture is good looking which was taken from the light 45 degrees upward. Maybe looks like more handsome…
Anyway need more detailed painting master is better.
These crispy molded figure is nice if placed next to the tank. Tank and figure look good each other.
1/35 figure size is almost same as AA battery.
I am interested in models of tanks, airplanes, ships, military figures, I build it little by little when I feel like it. I am also interested in the history of war. My starting is Tamiya’s Military Miniature series in the elementary school.
From elementary school through university students repeatedly suspend and restart my modeling, it’s about 25 years of this hobby’s history.
Born in February 1970, I live in Tokyo. From February 2007 I was quietly doing a site called “Miniature-Arcadia”. It is being transferred to this blog with the same name from December 2016. My update pace is uneven, but please come to see here occasionally.
