I’m going to build this Italeri Tiger I. The mold isn’t so sharp and precise, assemble easily and soon to get into the paint process.

The parts runners are in a box just as it is. It’s ITALERI way that the plastic bags aren’t used.

chassis assembly, Tiger-I Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. E early type Italeri 1/35

Not completely build the box of the chassis, there is a part to assemble while checking the fit of some parts. It was not too difficult.

assemble the gun barrel, Tiger-I Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. E early type Italeri 1/35

While I make wheels, I assemble the gun barrels and other turret parts a little. I needed to be careful not to be wrong combination of the road wheels, there are many types of wheels.

I finished the installation of the characteristic rolling wheels. I also mounted one by one tracks. It is easier to build the Dragon Magic Tracks.

partial connection caterpillar adjustment is difficult, Tiger-I Italeri 1/35

Unexpectedly, the partial connection caterpillar adjustment is difficult. I changed a delicate curve with my finger. Winding it at once before the adhesive dries.

I’m waiting for drying road wheels and caterpillar tracks with books as a weight.

Small parts which are separated by other kits, many Italeri parts are all one mold.

completed assembly of chassis, Tiger-I Italeri

fill the gaps later, Tiger-I Italeri

Since the accuracy is not good enough, it’s better to assemble first and fill the gaps later.

I built the main gun turret and all completed. Tiger-I Italeri

The United States is confused. Police officer kills a nonresistant black person, retaliatory strike is received conversely, the order is corrupted. At least I think that for the general sales may be limited to a handgun class. I read something about the gun control, the United States of gun ownership seems similar to the fishing rod sense of Japan because it rooted hunting culture. If a fishing rod is prohibited, maybe I’ll be furious.

I don’t use any etched part this time. Tiger-I Italeri

I don’t use any etched part this time.

it seems massive and strong. Tiger-I Italeri

Yes, it seems massive and strong.

Both hatches are open. Tiger-I Italeri

gun barrel bend, Tiger-I Italeri 1/35 scale

I thought whether it was completed, but somewhat feel awkward. A gun barrel bends a little in the bottom when I see it well. The Tiger-I looks weak.

I’ll fix it with the pouring glue and putty. At this angle, it looks worse. It was bad that I didn’t pay attention well.

After I attached spare tracks on the both sides of a gun turret, I had no place to put decals. So I put the small decals of my spare.

If the style of the vehicle number font is round, it’s not a strong image. The Tiger is square-built so I feel a square-built font matches.

I love the shots to apply a gun turret to aside

I love the shots to apply a gun turret to aside and have taken it in various ways.

weathering is done in various ways, German heavy tanks

The weathering is done in various ways to wipe out a monochrome flat feeling.

Since the included decal sheet was a little yellowed, I changed to Cartograf Decals.

Since the included decal sheet was a little yellowed, I changed to Cartograf Decals. This decal is highly reliable.

I think a curved line from top to the center is working well.

front face of Tiger-I

Because it does not use the metal parts, hard to put a dent on the fenders and muffler covers.

Wide tracks of Tiger-I Italeri

The wide tracks are one of the reasons of the cool looking Tiger Heavy Tank.

The attachment of the spare caterpillar, I wonder it’s OK for the early stage type as this photo. There is no space to put a big decal.

If we worried about the shape of the clamp and other things, we should replace them.

making and painting Tiger-I Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. E early type Italeri 1/35

Recently, Dragon Models tank kits inferior in quality that only price is up. Dragon’s Tiger is better joint almost parts than this kit. The Dragon is recognized as the king of the true model maker if he keeps the quality of those days….

Tiger-I Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. E early type Italeri 1/35

On the other hand, Italeri kit price is reasonable, the number of parts is not much. Fit of parts is normal.

The gun barrel is not made of metal, but I think that quality is enough.

The gun barrel is not made of metal, but I think that quality is enough. I was able to make it happily.

(13-July-2016)

I am interested in models of tanks, airplanes, ships, military figures, I build it little by little when I feel like it. I am also interested in the history of war. My starting is Tamiya’s Military Miniature series in the elementary school.
From elementary school through university students repeatedly suspend and restart my modeling, it’s about 25 years of this hobby’s history.
Born in February 1970, I live in Tokyo. From February 2007 I was quietly doing a site called “Miniature-Arcadia”. It is being transferred to this blog with the same name from December 2016. My update pace is uneven, but please come to see here occasionally.
