It was interesting to make a female Russian tank crew before, so I made different figures without thinking. Bronya and Mariel from Girls in Action. It is very small but a little expensive. However, the scale is only 1/35, so it is not that large amount.
I wanted to make a 1mm hole on the sole of their feet to fix it to the base for painting, but I couldn’t because it was too thin. I think I will paint it after fixing it with double-sided tape. I can’t even tape Mariel. The 1/35 male military figure I usually make has enough space on the soles, it looks like a girl with thin arms and legs.
Bronya kit has a papercraft tank, so it might be a tank soldier motif. But it looks like a flying suit. I always paint like khaki and moss green uniforms, so I choose to paint them in different colors sometimes.
After considering some plans, I painted Bronya jacket, and then I realized it was Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. I miss it. I remember going to a movie theater with my friend when I was in my second year of junior high school. It’s a movie that I really like, and I bought a DVD and all 7 comic books. But at this age, when I think about it calmly, Nausicaa seems a little strange. It would be terrible if there were such girls around.
Bronya was a sharp mold, but Mariel’s face mold was not so clear, so it was hard to decide what kind of expression to choose. I made both at the same time, I prefer Bronya. Military uniform figures are easier to paint for me.
I am interested in models of tanks, airplanes, ships, military figures, I build it little by little when I feel like it. I am also interested in the history of war. My starting is Tamiya’s Military Miniature series in the elementary school.
From elementary school through university students repeatedly suspend and restart my modeling, it’s about 25 years of this hobby’s history.
Born in February 1970, I live in Tokyo. From February 2007 I was quietly doing a site called “Miniature-Arcadia”. It is being transferred to this blog with the same name from December 2016. My update pace is uneven, but please come to see here occasionally.
