For the first time, I made the whole body resin figures. The mold is very fine Alpine models. I made it in March 2015.
I painted them with oil painting this time, painted a big part first of all. Somewhat I hesitate to touch well-molded faces. The beige area will be camouflage painting. It seems to be difficult to draw camouflage patterns in a wide area…
After trial and error, all camouflage patterns are on the way. The German army used many patterns, I imagined the pattern before painting, but for a while, after I worked with another kit and forgot the image… There are many color mixed patterns, like 3 or 4 colors and small dotted.
I have finished painting the Alpine tank crew. I painted all with oil painting this time. The camouflage pants are dark yellow, chestnut brown, dark brown 3 colors. The careful work made my eyes sting.
I completed attaching rank insignia decal on his shoulder. I thought the Tamiya Mark Fit (Strong) is weaker than the Creos Mr. Marksofter, same as Creos Mark Setter. It was written as Strong, I expected it’s strong same as Modelers Decal Fit.
It’s hard to recognize the expression that he put on a cap, I took the photo from under. I couldn’t paint too small spots. I am not yet farsightedness, I should see near place properly, leave something to be desired…..
As it is Ardennes, possibly the right officer is a motif from Colonel Joachim Peiper in command of Peiper Kampfgruppe? They are a member of the 1st SS-Panzer-Division (LAH) Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler.
There is still room for improvements for the painting of details in various ways. It’s careful work, but the figure painting is pleasant. I want to challenge it continues to make very desirable results, though it is difficult now.
I am interested in models of tanks, airplanes, ships, military figures, I build it little by little when I feel like it. I am also interested in the history of war. My starting is Tamiya’s Military Miniature series in the elementary school.
From elementary school through university students repeatedly suspend and restart my modeling, it’s about 25 years of this hobby’s history.
Born in February 1970, I live in Tokyo. From February 2007 I was quietly doing a site called “Miniature-Arcadia”. It is being transferred to this blog with the same name from December 2016. My update pace is uneven, but please come to see here occasionally.
