Our cat, Munchkin named Chai, loves strap-like toys and balls since he was a kitten. This purple felt the ball had a feather at first, but even after it came off, Chai still play with it as his favorite.
I’ve been looking for a bigger felt ball, but I can’t really find it. This ball is loosening up a lot and it’s a little small. It seems that about 2 cm in diameter can be purchased in large quantities. These are related to decoration material.
Finally, I gathered the five felt punchers that I have now and held them with my fingers to harden them. You can buy a special holder for several hundred yen, and there are various types of fixing needles such as 3 or 5. I think it will make you less tired and have a smooth surface. But this time, I only need to make a felt ball once, so there is no problem with just a needle.
This toy will be one of his favorites for a while. I still have enough material to make it again when it crumbles. If you use 5 felt punchers, even an amateur takes 1 ~ 2 hours to make it.
I am interested in models of tanks, airplanes, ships, military figures, I build it little by little when I feel like it. I am also interested in the history of war. My starting is Tamiya’s Military Miniature series in the elementary school.
From elementary school through university students repeatedly suspend and restart my modeling, it’s about 25 years of this hobby’s history.
Born in February 1970, I live in Tokyo. From February 2007 I was quietly doing a site called “Miniature-Arcadia”. It is being transferred to this blog with the same name from December 2016. My update pace is uneven, but please come to see here occasionally.
