I made this Swedish Army S-tank. March to June 2009.
The form was particular, and I wanted to make an S-tank for a long time.
They are upper parts like the plates. There are only eight trank rollers right and left in total.

I punctured some holes again, and the place where parts did not fit in well was amended.
It’s an old kit and many adjustments were needed. There are lots of processing of the parting lines, too. I don’t worry even if somewhat deformed parts were in this kit. I will advance to the next step.
Photograph before attaching side armor. Only the lower side of the caterpillar was fixed. Because the upper part of the caterpillar was covered.

The S-tank was roughly completed.

The exhaust tube’s parting line processing was troublesome.
This tank design is the futuristic shape. Like in the SF movies. However, this tank has actually retired all now. From the 1970’s to the 1990’s are the main activity period.

I blew light green. This photo is too vivid, but actually a little darker color.
I drew freehand dark green camouflage with the brush. It has become like a present age tank.

Sand brown in addition.

Black was drawn in the last process. All camouflage was finished. This time, the irregular brush did not appear too much since all were the enamel colors.

This time, I made an S-tank of the Swedish army. This tank has no turret. The main gun is equipped with the main body directly.
This was developed as a tank of the defense specialty. S tank constructs the obstacle with the dozer braid equipped forward.
I made a mistake in the upper and lower part of the big window installation. The wiper should be adhered up. As for the upper surface of the body, it was uneven and the brush paint of camouflage painting was quite difficult.
Many fuel tanks are equipped with the right and left side, it was also the role of side armor.
I think that the atmosphere of a real car has occurred as such though camouflage painting is all free hands. The overall impression was brightly finished since quite a lot of parts of light green had remained.
Periscope was painted in gloss green.
The dozer braid was attached to the front of the body. It can make bank for the defense of the position of the shooting.
The engine is at the front. This is a protection of the crew from the enemy bullet. It is the same concept as Israel main battle tank Merkava.
The side was depicted with the weathering as the eavesdropping mark, etc.
That looks like the U.S. Army when I presume from the box art. Anyway, I could build up the stylish Swedish tank, I satisfied it very much.

I am interested in models of tanks, airplanes, ships, military figures, I build it little by little when I feel like it. I am also interested in the history of war. My starting is Tamiya’s Military Miniature series in the elementary school.
From elementary school through university students repeatedly suspend and restart my modeling, it’s about 25 years of this hobby’s history.
Born in February 1970, I live in Tokyo. From February 2007 I was quietly doing a site called “Miniature-Arcadia”. It is being transferred to this blog with the same name from December 2016. My update pace is uneven, but please come to see here occasionally.
