This kit, I was surprised it’s included seven heads even the kit is 4 figure set. Everyone has a good expression. I am thinking that I will change it to resin heads this time, I’m keeping these heads and use them in the future in case the other kit heads are not so good quality. Everyone in the Master Box figure is a serious face. It is a face that seems to pass each other normally in town instead of handsome movie stars.
Many hats are attached. A patrol cap, field cap, covered helmet, and Boonie hat are prepared. Moreover, there are two kinds, the width of the collar is subtly different. Since the appearance of the figure changes dramatically with a hat, the enthusiasm of this kit is wonderful.
I’ve roughly painted them. Thinking now, it was better to draw the shades while painting the uniform. The way to finish narrow areas little by little is suitable for me. I’m getting tired of proceeding in parallel with four figures.
In the Vietnam War, the US Army adopted the “Search & Destroy” strategy. This figure theme is the reconnaissance infantry. This strategy uses a small military force for searching, discovers a combat troop and a base of the Communist forces, uses a helicopter to attack them with a mobile power unit.
The Communist side adopted a guerrilla fight that attacks a supply line and sneaks attack on the US Army and the South Vietnamese Army, although there are many military forces but inferior in attack power. U.S. Army in the early stage of the Vietnam War was in trouble with the guerrilla operations of the Vietcong Guerrillas and the North Vietnamese Army.
Vietnam and its surroundings were long and narrow in the north and south, and there are many mountainous areas and jungles so it was a scattered base of the US Army. There were many combats such as guerrillas or ghosts that the Communists attacked from nowhere.
By the way, I think that the second half of the film “Full Metal Jacket” and “Platoon” was close to this search and destroy mission. Compared to them, “Hamburger Hill” was a large-scale battle, I do not remember the particulars.
I used the attached M16. Sometimes US soldiers used AK-47 captured from enemies. Even though AK 47 was covered with muddy water, it was less faulty and preferred. The AK-47 assault rifle was favored because it had a few failures even if it wore muddy water.
I tried hard to put the light on their eyes, but I’ve over-emphasized eye lines. It is good that there is a vivid and charismatic eye looking, but it is difficult to moderate. When I look at them about 30cm of distance, it’s fairly good. Too close looking, around 5cm, you can see the rough paint.
There was a lot of equipment and it was difficult to paint. Basically, it’s green and khaki, some areas, and points, strap and belt were changed tones a little. Four figures are unique equipment and pose, building and painting were interesting.
Looking at the package, it is an elite soldier of the LRRP, soldiers who have heavy machine guns may be different from others. By the way, LRRP refers to Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol, it was deeply infiltrated into the enemy-controlled area, and was responsible for guiding and evaluating destruction work and bombing, assassination, and so on.
The virtual money of 58,000,000,000 yen meets a hacking at present in Japan, and it’s a big fuss. I am not trading, but I am still worried. The possibility of being used for missile development in a certain country is also considered. The ability to settle in cheap handling fees around the world is wonderful. However, if the rate is not stabilized, there is too much risk as wealth accumulation, I hope that it will not be like an old tulip trading in the Netherlands.
I am interested in models of tanks, airplanes, ships, military figures, I build it little by little when I feel like it. I am also interested in the history of war. My starting is Tamiya’s Military Miniature series in the elementary school.
From elementary school through university students repeatedly suspend and restart my modeling, it’s about 25 years of this hobby’s history.
Born in February 1970, I live in Tokyo. From February 2007 I was quietly doing a site called “Miniature-Arcadia”. It is being transferred to this blog with the same name from December 2016. My update pace is uneven, but please come to see here occasionally.
